 Licensure Renewal requires:

• Completion of CEs. (If this is your 1st renewal you are not required to earn CEs)
  But, you are still required to complete trainings on specific topics.
• Completion of training on specific topics. Listed below. 
  Some of the trainings are new and were established by state rule and apply to multiple licensed professions. Some of these were established by law. Links below.
• Completion of 30 CEs from approved providers. IMHCA / ICA are approved providers. c (1)
  
• All 30 CEs can now be earned online, in-person, live or recorded webinars.
• The 30 CEs must be earned between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2023.
• You need to apply for renewal online after all requirements for CEs / Trainings are completed.
  
• Pay the fee. $60/year = $120
  

This is a training requirement.
A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the rule and may not offer CEs. The training must meet the requirements listed in the rule.

This training must be repeated every renewal cycle.
"Completion of this course shall be a condition of renewing a license.  This course must be repeated for each subsequent renewal period."

This is a training requirement.
A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the rule and may not offer CEs. The training must meet the requirements listed in the rule.

This training must be repeated every renewal cycle.

Section 1130.500 Implicit Bias Awareness Training

This is a training requirement.
A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the law and may not offer CEs. The training must meet the requirements listed in the law.

(j) Persons required to report child abuse or child neglect as provided under this Section must complete an initial mandated reporter training, including a section on implicit bias, within 3 months of their date of engagement in a professional or official capacity as a mandated reporter, or within the time frame of any other applicable State law that governs training requirements for a specific profession, and at least every 3 years thereafter.

"After January 1, 2023, a health care professional who has continuing education requirements must complete at least a one-hour course in training on the diagnosis, treatment, and care of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias per renewal period."

"This requirement shall only apply to health care professionals who provide health care services to, and have direct patient interactions with, adult populations age 26 or older in the practice of their profession."

Current rules require 18 CEs in Clinical Supervision only for LCPC, once in a lifetime. (By your 1st renewal requiring CEs) This is required regardless if the LCPC provides clinical supervision.

This rule change permanently allows all 30 CEs in a renewal period to be “not in person.” Effective Jan 28, 2021

CE credits may be earned for successful completion of a course (e.g., by mail, computer, pre-recorded online course/program, live online course/program, etc.) that is offered by an approved sponsor who meets the requirements set forth in subsection (c). Each course shall include an examination.
